Erling Haaland has ditched his signature long hair for a new short look just hours before Manchester City kicks off its Premier League season against Bournemouth.
The Premier League striker, 26, has been recognized for his flowing blonde mane and became an internet sensation during the World Cup as fans unfamiliar with the Norwegian player became captivated by his distinctive appearance throughout the competition. For example, his Instagram following has soared to 77 million since the tournament.
However, mere hours before stepping back onto Premier League turf, Haaland shocked supporters by revealing several short hairstyles he's considering after cutting off his trademark locks.

Haaland shared a brief video on X Sunday showing the transformation before and after his trim, later posting multiple selfies experimenting with different looks, keeping fans in suspense about which style he'll sport on the pitch.
His video came with the caption: "New season, new trim. Full episode on YT!"
His subsequent photos were accompanied by: "Short hair don't care."

Haaland's video diary of his haircut features calls with his former manager, Pep Guardiola, and City teammate Jack Grealish.
"No way. You're lucky you have hair. I would love to have it. I love it," said Guardiola in the video.
Grealish added: "You look about 10 years old. That is hilarious. I can't stop looking at the front of your hair. I love it."
Anxious supporters flocked to social media expressing concern about his dramatic makeover, fearing his scoring ability might have resided in those golden locks.
One commenter asked: "Have you not chopped off the goals?"
Haaland featured in City's 3-0 Community Shield defeat to Arsenal last Sunday as Enzo Maresca's tenure began on a concerning note after the former Chelsea manager succeeded Guardiola.
However, City has an opportunity to move past that performance when it faces Marco Rose's Bournemouth squad at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Haaland has been named in City's line-up for that game.
