Taylor Sheridan landed a role after punching another man during the audition.
The Yellowstone creator told the man that he was going to hit him if he interrupted him again.
After decking the man, he returned to his talent agency to learn he'd booked the role.
Well, that’s one way to stand out.
Taylor Sheridan revealed that he once landed a role in a commercial after decking another man for talking over him during the audition.
“I told him I was gonna,” Sheridan said on The Howard Stern Show. “I’m like, ‘Look, if you interrupt me again, I'm going to knock you the f--- out,’ and he looked at me like I was nuts, and then he kept talking, and I was just sitting on the couch kind of like this and I just went pop.”

The Yellowstone creator was aware his actions likely didn’t set him up for success.
“I knew, like, this is over, and so I said, ‘Well, I guess this ain't the job for me. Thank everyone very much,’” he recalled. “And I got up and I walked out and this dude's like, 'What the hell was that?' And I left.”
Except when he returned to his talent agency, Sheridan was greeted with cheers.
“They walk in, and they say, ‘Congratulations.’ And I'm like, ‘Congratulations?’” He said. “They said, ‘You got it.’ I said, ‘I got what?’ They said, ‘You got the job.’”

The Madison writer explained that he ended up running into the commercial’s executive producer during a break on set.
“I walk outside to smoke a cigarette, and there's this dude… and I said, ‘So, what do you do? You like a camera guy or something?’” Sheridan said. “And he looks at me and he just laughs. He just can't stop laughing when he looks at me, and he goes, ‘I’m the executive producer. I'm the one who hired you.’”
When he asked the producer why he’d chosen him for the role, the man just burst into laughter again. “He said, ‘You told that guy you were going to hit him, and then you hit him and it's the funniest thing I've ever seen. I've watched it 50 times,’” Sheridan remembered.
After starring in the commercial, the Landman creator would go on to appear on shows like Sons of Anarchy, and in films such as White Rush and 12 Strong.
