Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s son James Wilkie attended a red carpet event with his parents this week
The couple’s son has been dipping his toes into the theater world since graduating from Brown University
Parker and Broderick also share 17-year-old twin daughters Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta Elwell
Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick stepped out with their oldest, son James Wilkie, for a night out at the theater.
On Sunday, Oct. 18, the famous couple brought their 23-year-old son James along as their plus-one when they attended the opening night of Broadway’s Other Desert Cities.
James could be standing in between his two parents, wearing a navy suit with a plaid tie. He wore his hair long, holding hands with the Sex and the City actress, 61, and placing an arm around the Ferris Bueller’s Day Off star, 64.

Alongside James, Broderick and Parker are parents to 17-year-old twins Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta Elwell.
This past January, Broderick and Parker made another rare appearance alongside their three kids at a release party for Marc Shaiman’s new book Never Mind the Happy at Sardi’s in New York City.

In one picture, the family of five could be seen posing with Shaiman as they smiled for the camera. They all appeared to wear casual outfits, with the exception of Broderick, who wore a checkered red suit jacket with a matching checkered tie.
Parker wore black pants with a matching black button-down top. Marion Loretta could be seen wearing a beige button-down top, which she paired with jeans, while Tabitha Hodge wore a green sweater with dark corduroy pants. James Wilkie wore black pants and a gray T-shirt for the event.

A year before, James joined his famous father as the two guest starred in an episode of Elsbeth. After the experience, Broderick raved to PEOPLE about sharing the screen with his son.
“I was so proud and happy to work with my son James,” Broderick shared. “Working with everyone on Elsbeth was a pleasure and I’m excited for the episode to come out.”
As for James, the young star said: “What a thrill it was to work side by side with my dad — who also happens to be my favorite actor! The whole experience of working on Elsbeth was beyond exciting, and I am very grateful to the producers for giving me this opportunity!”
