Fill-in conservative cohost Sara Eisen has opened up about how she really feels about working with the permanent panelists on *The View*.

Two days into her tenure subbing in for Republican cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin — who's out on maternity leave following the birth of her first child — the CNBC broadcaster fielded questions from the Hot Topics table about how she's acclimating to both the on-air dynamic and the behind-the-scenes *View* sisterhood.

"She's been having a wonderful time, right?" Joy Behar asked Eisen at the top of Friday's show, as the personality confirmed she's enjoyed her seat at the table thus far.

"First of all, you guys are al wonderful and gracious. It's a pleasure to be here, as someone who's watched the show forever," the 41-year-old said. "And it's a treat for me because, as I said, business, the economy, it's not as fun as this. We get to talk about how we feel!"

Sunny Hostin leaned in to ask Eisen, "Is it different than you thought it would be?" to which she replied, "It is. I love how spontaneous it is and how authentic it is, and how we're prepared and we're read-in, but not scripted. It looks very perfect when you watch it on TV, but anything can happen out here."

She then marveled that the cohosts "don't even wear an earpiece" most of the time, which prompted a joke from fellow Republican Ana Navarro: "Even when [Joy] does get cued in her ear, she just ignores it."

Since Griffin's leave of absence began earlier this month, the show has welcomed three fill-in cohosts so far, including Eisen, Amanda Carpenter, and Savannah Chrisley, whose reality TV star parents, Julie and Todd, received a presidential pardon from Donald Trump.

"I just want to thank you all for giving me a voice and allowing me to sit at the table and believe totally differently, but have conversations that are hard and respectful," Chrisley said on her last day onthe show. "It's the moments off camera that people don't get to see where we really do have more in common than we are different."

She then explained that she recently told her father that "Joy is my favorite" on the panel, and said that he replied, "That's unexpected!" given the pair's difference in political beliefs.

Other guest cohosts set to fill in for Griffin over the months ahead include comedian Whitney Cummings, former *View* cohost Abby Huntsman, and controversial *View* alum Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who publicly slammed the program and Behar at the top of 2025.

*The View* airs weekdays on ABC.
