Chase McWhorter shared his reaction to his ex-wife Miranda Hope's new song

Hope dropped her debut single, “FU4THAT,” on Friday, June 26

“It was written with the intention of men that have done me dirty,” she said in a previous interview

Chase McWhorter knows Miranda Hope's new song is all in good fun.

On Friday, June 26, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, 28, dropped her debut single — a scathing country tune full of digs at former lovers (choice lines include: “The only thing you were committed to was infidelity,” “You cheated and you lied,” and, of course, “F--- you for that”).

“It was written with the intention of men that have done me dirty,” Hope explained in an interview with Entertainment Tonight earlier this month. “Obviously there's a few pointed lines toward my ex-husband.”

Shortly after the song's release, McWhorter — to whom Hope was married for seven years until their divorce in 2024, and with whom she shares two kids — took to social media to promote the track and share his initial reaction.

“OUT NOW!!!!” he wrote on his Instagram Stories, resharing a video of Hope discussing the song. “v rude none of the lyrics are about me it's her high school ex.” He also shared a pair of screenshots of himself listening to the song on different platforms.

Hope announced her foray into the world of music earlier in June, telling PEOPLE at the time, “Sharing the part of myself with the world is both exciting and intimidating. Music has always been such a huge part of my life, and this project gave me an opportunity to tell my story in a completely different way.”

Continued Hope: “I'm so proud of what we've created, can't wait for people to hear it, and this is just the beginning.”

Her debut single comes after a tumultuous few months for the reality TV star.

In March, her friend and Mormon Wives castmate Jessi Draper, 34, shared a kiss with McWhorter, 31. Draper quickly took accountability, sending Hope apology flowers alongside a note that read, "I completely understand you being upset with me,” though Hope still slyly shared her frustration with the situation on social media.

"GRWM while I process my friend group being a waiting room for my ex-husband,” she wrote in an Instagram post. "it's not even a betrayal at this point, it's a tradition 🥰🥰." McWhorter has also been romantically linked to Mormon Wives cast members Layla Taylor and Taylor Frankie Paul.

McWhorter continued to turn heads the next month, however, during an appearance on Harry Jowsey's podcast Boyfriend Material, where he told the host that he is “always yearning” to get back together with Hope but that she was “too smart” to return.
