On June 23, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star, 26, shared a sweet Instagram post to mark her hubby turning 31.
“Somewhere in Switzerland🏔️🥹 also happy birthday to my favorite person in the world,” she wrote, tagging Terry. “he takes care of me more than anyone would know, he's the best dad and we are so lucky to have him 💕.”
The birthday wishes come just over three months after the couple — who share four children — revealed in the fourth season of Mormon Wives that they had temporarily separated.

Throughout season 3 of the Hulu reality series, the pair openly discussed intimacy issues that they were experiencing in their marriage stemming from being sexually abused during her childhood, and in season 4, Matthews acknowledged in a confessional that the pair decided to separate.
During an interview with PEOPLE in March, days before the premiere of Mormon Wives season 4, Matthews acknowledged at the time that unpacking her trauma surrounding the sexual abuse she experienced was “still new to me” and “new to him” — referencing Terry. “We're just navigating it the best way that we can.”

She later told Entertainment Tonight in an interview released on March 12 that she and Terry were “still together,” calling their relationship a “work in progress.”

In the months since, the pair have continued to share content together online. Terry appeared in a video she posted from Disneyland in April, content she shared from their family's trip to Hawaii in May, and a video Matthews posted from a trip to Germany earlier in June.

Terry also came to his wife's defense as she publicly feuded with her Mormon Wives castmate, Taylor Frankie Paul, 32, in May. In a response to a fan's TikTok calling out Matthews for comments she had made about Paul, Terry fired back: “[Paul] also is notorious for blasting people publicly w/o private communication. The way you defend Taylor is genuinely like she's a cult leader. Both her and Mikayla are going to make mistakes.”
