- Kate Luckinbill, granddaughter of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, got a tattoo to honor the iconic Hollywood couple.

- On her left arm, she inked, “A Desilu Production,” the name of their TV production company.

- Luckinbill’s mother is Lucie Arnaz, the only daughter of the *I Love Lucy* stars.

Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz’s granddaughter recently got a tattoo that needs no ‘splaining.

Kate Luckinbill — whose mother is Lucie Arnaz, the iconic Hollywood couple’s only daughter — debuted the meaningful new piece to her 61,000 followers on TikTok. In the video, the 41-year-old holds up her left arm to reveal “A Desilu Production” inked in black.

Desilu Productions is the name of the television production company founded in 1950 by Arnaz and Ball, whose combined first names create its moniker. In addition to their sitcom* **I Love Lucy*, which ran for six seasons on CBS, and Ball’s own *The Lucy Show*, Desilu also produced some of the most popular TV shows of the 1960s, including *Star Trek*, *Mission: Impossible*, *The Untouchables*, and *Mannix*.

“A Desilu Production” often appeared in the closing credits, with the Desilu logo written in cursive font.

The idea to turn it into a tattoo came about after someone commented on another of Luckinbill’s videos that if Ball and Arnaz were their grandparents, “I would definitely say that I was a Desilu Production all the time.” Another follower replied, “oh that’s a perfect tattoo,” back in March.

Five months later, Luckinbill gave an update: “I did it,” along with the video of her new ink.

Her followers applauded the design, and wondered if Lucie loved it too.

‘She says ‘okay now no more!’ After each one,” replied Luckinbill, whose father is actor Laurence Luckinbill.

But her next tattoo idea might be one that will get Arnaz-Luckinbill’s approval: “Just Arluck Production,” the company Lucie and Laurence started in the 1980s that also blends their names.

Ball and Arnaz were married for two decades until they divorced in 1960, three years after *I Love Lucy* went off the air. They had two children, the similarly-named Lucie and Desi Arnaz Jr.
