Liam Gallagher in furious rant over Glastonbury rumours: ‘Calm the f*** down’

Liam Gallagher has addressed speculation that Oasis will return to the Glastonbury Festival in 2027 with a foul-mouthed rant.

Rumours had been swirling that Liam and his brother Noel would play the Somerset festival in 2027 after they reunited for the Live 25 Tour in 2025.

Oasis has headlined the festival twice, in 1995 and 2004.

But after an Oasis fan account suggested that there was a high likelihood of the band reappearing at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Liam hit back with a furious rant.

“According to The Scotsman, Oasis are among the favourites to headline Glastonbury 2027, with odds of 4/1,” the original post said.

“Could we see them return to the Pyramid Stage?”

Liam, 53, replied: “It’s not HAPPENING so all you croc wearing flag waving shit c**** can calm the f*** down.”

Both brothers have taken aim at the festival in recent times.

Responding to a post on X in 2025 asking if they could headline the Pyramid Stage again, Liam commented: “Hope not.”

He later added: “I like the other stages and the tents, but the main stage is like playing to a load of jamboree teachers.

“It’s a load of divs dressed in Ty die (sic) clothes banging clogs and blowing up balloons all with psycho smiles and crusty eyes and red wine mouths.”

A year earlier, Noel criticised Glastonbury for “virtue-signalling” and said it was “a bit woke” and “kind of preachy”.

Speaking on a podcast, the 59-year-old said: “I don’t like it in music – little f***** idiots waving flags around and making political statements, and bands taking the stage and saying, ‘Hey guys, isn’t war terrible, yeah? Let’s all boo war. F*** the Tories man,’ and all that.

“It’s like, look – play your f****** tunes and get off.”

The singer, who performed with his band Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds at Glastonbury in 2022, added: “Donate all your money to the cause – that’s it, stop yapping about it.”

However, the Manchester City football fan told the podcast he loved the festival, calling it “probably the best f****** thing about Britain apart from the Premier League”.

A documentary following the brothers on their 2025 tour will screen from 9 September.

Titled Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger, it follows the Gallaghers across the tour, which began in Cardiff last July.

It will be released in cinemas and on Disney Plus and will include the first joint interviews with Noel and Liam in over 20 years.

The brothers reunited after 15 years after a dramatic split in 2009, which was prompted by a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in France.
