Kate Middleton had a helping hand during her charitable hike from her brother, James Middleton.
Over the weekend, the Princess of Wales, 44, secretly completed the National Three Peaks Challenge, scaling the highest mountains in each of England, Scotland and Wales. Princess Kate took on the endeavor to draw attention to life after cancer and support The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, the philanthropy of The Royal Marsden Hospital where she previously received treatment for cancer.
A new video shared to a fellow hiker's Instagram Stories on June 30 showed that Princess Kate descended Mount Snowdon in Wales hand-in-hand with her brother James, 39.
"There I was, congratulating fellow climbers as they made their way down from the windy summit... little did I know I was actually speaking to royalty," entrepreneur Phillip Tebajjwa wrote in part over the video.
The Princess of Wales fittingly finished the challenge in Wales, and it was previously shared that she was met at the end by Prince William, their three kids — Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis — and her parents — Carole and Michael Middleton.
James also supported his sister by commenting on her Instagram post revealing her weekend adventure, writing, "So proud," with a heart and mountain emoji.
A close look at the new video showed that Kate and James were joined by a special companion: one of James' six dogs, who walked beside him.
Tebajjwa also shared a photo with Kate and wrote over it, "The Princess of Wales just stopped to congratulate me on completing the challenge... and then agreed to take a selfie. At that moment, I could only think one thing... Am I actually dreaming?"
Kensington Palace announced on Sunday, June 28, that Princess Kate had completed the Three Peaks Challenge, summiting Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales within 24 hours.
She set out on Saturday to undertake the grueling feat, which features 23 hiking miles with a total elevation gain of 10,052 feet.

Princess Kate is known to be close to her parents, sister Pippa Middleton and James, who all live nearby one another in Windsor.
After Kate announced in March 2024 that she was undergoing treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer, her brother shared a post underscoring his support, with a hiking metaphor.
"Over the years, we have climbed many mountains together. As a family, we will climb this one with you too ⛰️❤️," the James & Ella founder and mental health advocate wrote below a childhood photo of him and Kate wearing backpacks at a mountain.
Elaborating on that message and sentiment, James told PEOPLE in 2024, "We are a close family. It is always important to have support around you and not do things alone. Sharing it does help bring people together."

"There are huge numbers of people who go through [cancer]. It doesn't matter who you are, what your upbringing is. Life throws you obstacles," he said elsewhere.
The Princess of Wales reduced her royal duties after announcing in March 2024 that she was receiving cancer treatment and later shared with "relief" in January 2025 that she was in remission.
Kate made that announcement following an emotional visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital, which came with the confirmation that she had received treatment from the renowned cancer care center.
It was also announced then that Kate and William were the new joint patrons of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, and following her Three Peaks Challenge completion, the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity launched a fundraising page in her honor to increase holistic care for cancer patients.
