Joy Behar Roasts Elisabeth Hasselbeck's Outfit on “The View”: 'Could Eat a Whole Meal on You'

Elisabeth Hasselbeck has returned to The View as a temporary co-host this week
During her Tuesday, March 3, episode, her former co-host and current panelist Joy Behar made a quip about Hasselbeck's outfit
In response, Hasselbeck reached for Behar's hand and replied, "We're back"
Elisabeth Hasselbeck has returned to The View — and so has her cheeky banter with her former co-hosts.
Hasselbeck, 48, returned to the daytime talk show on Monday, March 2, and is set to co-host for the remainder of the week. Her appearances come amid Alyssa Farah Griffin's maternity leave. Griffin and her husband Justin Griffin welcomed their first child on Feb. 10.
At the top of the show, Whoopi Goldberg reintroduced Hasselbeck, who was a panelist from 2003 to 2013, but Joy Behar, who was absent on Monday, March 2, joked that she herself was the one making the grand return.
"Thank you, I'm back," said Behar, 83.
As Hasselbeck, Behar and Goldberg, 70, reminisced about their time together, co-host Sunny Hostin joked that Behar and Hasselbeck must have a bond, saying, "You're close to Joy when she starts making fun of the clothes that you wear. She said outside that 'She looked like a Wedgewood China pattern.' "
Still, Hasselback, who was wearing a blue and white patterned set, doubled down on her look and said, "I love it. It's a set in two pieces."
Behar then joked, "I could eat like a whole meal on you," which left Hasselbeck and Sara Haines laughing out loud, as Hostin, 57, pointed out, "That's when you know Joy Behar loves you."

Expressing a similar sentiment, Hasselbeck reached over to hold Behar's hand and simply said, "We're back."

The cheeky back-and-forth comes one day after Hasselbeck said what a "gift" it is to return to the panel. "I'm so thankful to be here with you all," she said on Monday, March 2, giving a shoutout to Goldberg: "Whoopi, we go way back. It's a blessing to be near you anytime that I can."
Hasselbeck also saluted the panel for doing a "great job," noting how relevant it is "to have voices as women in the world right now, forever reminded of the gift of our freedoms."
"We might have differences of opinion, but we love each other and we're stronger for it," Hasselbeck continued. "Whoopi, we've said it before: we can hold our positions in one hand and each other's hands in the other. So we get to do that all week. It might get a little spicy at times, but we do not hate each other, we love each other."
