Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones took a trip down memory line while revealing their celebrity crushes on the Today show.
Bush Hager opened up about her “type,” as well as the unexpected celebrity hall pass she’d “leave” her husband for.
The TV personality has been married to Henry Hager for nearly 20 years.
Jenna Bush Hager reflected on her biggest celebrity crushes from “days of old and days of new” during a playful conversation with Sheinelle Jones on August 25. During their Today show segment, the co-hosts compared notes on their A-list hall passes— and Bush Hager jokingly revealed the unexpected star she’d “leave” husband Henry Hager for during the hilarious exchange.

The 44-year-old TV personality has been married for nearly two decades, but she indulged in a hypothetical conversation with Jones as they revealed the celebrities who, if given the chance, they’d explore a romantic connection with.
Despite admitting she’d have a lot of “barriers” to making this happen, Bush Hager reminded Jones that she’d previously admitted to having a major crush on singer Brandi Carlisle last year. At the time, she joked to co-host Matt Rogers, “Do you know that Brandi Carlile is the woman I would leave my husband for? I’m not sure I’ve ever said it exactly straight up, but she is.”

The mom-of-three revealed that her feelings still held true, and that “The Story” singer and her wife, Catherine Carlile, were aware of her sentiments. However, she clarified her crush was more of a fantasy than a reality. “I’ve never kissed a woman,” she admitted to Jones. “I feel like I need to say that. I have a husband, too, so there’s a lot of barriers, but it’s the vibe.”

Bush Hager also opened up about her hall pass from “from back in the day,” revealing that Pride and Prejudice actor Colin Firth had caught her eye. She sighed, “He’s very handsome,” as an image of him appeared in front of the pair, and clarified that the dark-haired Bridget Jones star is her hall pass from both “days of old and days of new.”
“This is all good. I’m getting to know your type,” Jones responded approvingly. “I also think it’s a whole vibe. It’s not just aesthetic.”
Jones also shared her current pick, joking, “This is cougar vibes, but I’m just saying I think I like a physique, and it happens to be this one” as a picture of British soccer player Jude Bellingham appeared on screen. She joked, “He’s all over my Instagram feed because you can’t lie to Instagram. Plus, he seems like a really nice guy.”
