Rapper and country star Jelly Roll kicked off his guest-hosting stint on Jimmy Kimmel Live! by taking aim at President Donald Trumpās health. The musician, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, won over the audience by sharing jokes about his own major body transformation while also bringing up reports about Trumpās health.
According to a White House medical report released in May, the president weighed somewhere around 238 pounds. That result placed him just 1.6 pounds below the obesity threshold. The report also indicated that Trump gained 14 pounds, adding up to a total 23-pound increase since 2023, as reported by The Daily Beast.

Opening his monologue, the singer pointed out recent health news about the president. āA lot of doctors are worried about the presidentās weight,ā he began. āAfter his last physical, we found out Trump gained 14 pounds, which means he is now tipping the scales at almost 240. Thatās crazyā.
Roll then used his own health journey to deliver a punchline. āThink about this, yāall, in the last few years Iāve lost 300 pounds. That means Iāve lost an entire Donald Trump,ā he said.
He then took a jab at Trumpās approval ratings. āAnd letās be honest, based on his approval ratings, it seems like most of the country wants to do the same thingā.
The Grammy-winning singer jokingly suggested that people āshould take it easyā on Trump. He also joked that the president āwould never do that to other people.ā
The late-night show then cut to old video clips showing Trump mocking the physical appearance of various public figures over the years. In the old clips, Trump was heard making comments like āHeās actually fatter than everā and āI refuse to talk about the fact that heās a fat slob.ā
Reacting to the video, Jelly Roll said, āWell, if that aināt the pot calling the kettle fat.ā

Per The Wrap, the singerās appearance is the second time the show recruited him as a rotating summer stand-in host. He has previously won three awards at the Grammys. Speaking about his past struggles, including prison time and growing up around drug addiction, he once told reporters, āI didnāt even know politics were [expletive] real until I was in my mid-20s in jail.ā
