Cassidy Montalvo and Cort Bogan renewed their vows in Coronado, a location tied to key moments in their relationship
The couple incorporated personal touches, including their daughters in the ceremony and nods to old Hollywood in music and details
The celebration marked a new chapter after years of balancing military deployments, career changes, and parenthood
Cassidy Montalvo and Cort Bogan are married (again!) — and the couple tied the knot in the place where their relationship took root.
The influencer, 34, and her husband, 31, tied the knot for a second time on Saturday, June 20 in a "boho meets retro" celebration at the Hotel del Coronado in Coronado, Calif. The couple, who first eloped eight years ago ahead of Cort's deployment, tells PEOPLE all the exclusive details.
"Coronado holds a special place in both of our hearts," the couple tells PEOPLE. "It's where Cort asked me to be his girlfriend, where we said 'I love you' for the first time, where he proposed and where so many of our favorite moments have been made over the years. Being able to celebrate our marriage there, surrounded by the people we love most, feels incredibly meaningful and truly brings our story full circle."

The festivities kicked off with Cassidy's bachelorette weekend in Coronado. They also included a welcome dinner for their guests since so many traveled from out-of-town, as well as an after-party.
Then on Saturday, 86 guests arrived at the venue to witness Cassidy and Cort share their love. The two leaned on Fawn Events to help them blend "traditional wedding elements" with personal touches that felt "true to us as a couple and a family." Their daughters' involvement in the ceremony was a "non-negotiable" and they tapped their kids' godfather, Scott Butler, to officiate the ceremony.
As he walked down the aisle, Cort was flanked by both his father and his stepfather. Cassidy's bridesmaids then entered to the theme song from While You Were Sleeping before the bride entered to "Can't Help Falling in Love" sung by Kina Grannis from the movie Crazy Rich Asians.

"We've always loved old Hollywood, so we included subtle nods to some of our favorite films and icons through our music selections and other details," Cassidy explains. "Our daughter Lucy is named after Lucille Ball, and our daughter Piper's middle name is Presley after Elvis Presley, so weaving in those personal touches felt especially meaningful."
Cassidy had her hair styled by Hair by Kayti and had her makeup done by The Proper Beauty Bar before walking down the aisle. She wore a custom design by Hayley Paige for the ceremony. She flew down to Palm Beach, Fl. to collaborate with her on the dress, calling the process "such a dream."
"I've been an admirer of Hayley for years, both as a creator and designer, so when she wanted to work together on this special project, I was beyond excited," she says.
Cort and Cassidy exchanged handwritten vows that were "completely personalized to each other" before exiting the ceremony as "This Will Be" by Natalie Cole played.

Guests were then escorted into the reception, where they were given a choice of chicken or steak for their plated dinner. Dessert was a lemon blueberry cheesecake, followed by a funfetti wedding cake.
For their first dance as husband and wife, Cassidy and Court danced to "Sweetheart" by Thomas Rhett — a musician who holds deep meaning for the two.
"Thomas Rhett's music has been part of our story for years," they say. "We were supposed to see him in concert four different times, but each one fell through for one reason or another. The most significant was the show we were meant to attend on the day we experienced our miscarriage."

Several months later, Cassidy shared their story on TikTok and Thomas Rhett saw it. He reached out personally and offered to have the couple attend one of his shows, and Cassidy shares that his manager routinely checks in on their family.
"That simple act of kindness has meant so much to our family," she shares. "His music has been woven throughout so many chapters of our lives, making this song feel especially meaningful."

When it came time for the father-daughter dance, Cassidy and Cort decided to do something a little different. While Cassidy danced with her father to "Slipping Through My Fingers" by ABBA, Cort danced with their two little girls right alongside her, making it a "special family moment."
At the reception, Cassidy changed into a Hayley Paige reception look before switching into an Albina Dyla after-party dress.

After their first dance and father-daughter dance, the party got started with swing dance instructors who taught guests a few moves before everyone hit the dance floor.
"We also have an incredible DJ who regularly performs at Coachella. We intentionally kept speeches to a minimum because we wanted to maximize the time spent celebrating our family and friends," they share.
The wedding was extra special because just a few days before the celebrations, Cort returned from deployment.
"It's hard to put into words. For months we didn't know if he would make it home in time," Cassidy shares. "This celebration has been postponed four separate times because of military obligations and deployments, so even as the date approached, it didn't feel real."
"The reunion itself is emotional, but the fact that we're finally getting to stand together and celebrate after so many years of waiting makes it even more meaningful," she adds.

For the two, this vow renewal ceremony represents the beginning of a new chapter. They share that they've spent much of their marriage balancing Cort's military obligations with career changes and parenthood, "simply surviving the next challenge."
"This feels like the first time we've been able to pause and celebrate everything we've built together," they say. "Feels like for the first time in years we are walking out of as season of fight or flight. It's such an unreal feeling to explain but immense thankfulness and joyfulness are the best words I can give it."
Cassidy and Cort, who first met through mutual friends after they were both in a wedding together, eloped eight years ago when they were preparing for Cort's deployment. While they say they loved that experience and wouldn't change it, they also dreamed of being able to celebrate their love amongst family and friends.
"To anyone who is considering — or had to have — a courthouse wedding, I would say don't change a thing. Our wedding day all those years ago was so special because it was just about us and our love," Cassidy says. "It was intimate, meaningful and exactly what we needed in that season of life."
"Now, years later, we've worked hard, built a beautiful life together and raised two amazing daughters who get to be a part of this celebration," she continues. "This feels like the perfect time to have the wedding we always dreamed of, surrounded by the people we love most."

As Cassidy and Cort look ahead to their next chapter, they can't wait to celebrate their time at home as a family. They share that eventually they'd love to take their daughters on a trip to Hawaii in lieu of a honeymoon.
"We want to travel more, spend more quality time together, take our girls camping and eventually have a place in Coronado where we can continue creating memories together," they say.
"Most of all, we're excited to discover what life looks like when we're finally not planning around the next deployment."
