Erling Haaland has found his inner cowboy.
The Norway soccer star brought big yeehaw vibes after he helped his national team defeat Ivory Coast 2-1 at Dallas Stadium in North Texas for the country's first knockout round win in their history on Tuesday, June 30.
Haaland, 25, quickly went from sport mode to retail mode, according to his social media posts that see him embracing western while in town for the 2026 FIFA World Cup match-up. He shared two photos of himself trying on a cowboy hat, cowboy boots and a shirt with a hilarious message.

"Y'all can kiss my Dallas," reads his gray T-shirt, tucked into coordinating sweat shorts and styled with cowboy-inspired accessories, including a cowboy boots and a gray Stetson hat placed atop his signature blonde, lengthy locks.
In one photo, the Norweigan star smiles while seated on a set of steps. In another, he stands confidently, glancing down at the cheeky slogan across his shirt.
"Howdy! 🤠," he simply captioned the Instagram and X photos.

This wasn't the first time Haaland has leaned into American culture. In a video shared on June 24, he adopted a Southern accent in an attempt to convince onlookers he was just an average guy, despite being one of the top scorers in the 2026 World Cup.

As for the victorious game on June 30, Norway struck first, with Antonio Nusa scoring in the 36th minute to give them the 1-0 lead. At the 74th minute, Ivory Coast tied it up thanks to Amad Diallo. Haaland then broke through Ivory Coast's defenders to seal the win in the 86th minute.
Next stop for Norway after Haaland scored the game-winning goal to bring his tournament total to 5? The World Cup Round of 16 against Brazil on Sunday, July 5, at New York New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

Norway has already seen success at that venue, having beat Senegal 3-2 during the group play stage on June 22. Haaland scored two goals in the matchup before joining his teammates on the pitch for the iconic "Viking" row, when one pulls their arms back and says "row" in Norwegian.
The now-viral move has been showcased by Norway's fans throughout the tournament in North America and beyond. Earlier this month, members of the Norwegian parliament paused a session to perform the row inside the country's Storting Building in Oslo, Reuters previously reported.

Kickoff between Brazil and Norway is set for Sunday at 4 p.m. ET.
