Elizabeth Holmes’ longtime partner Billy Evans‘ decision to go fully nude in You Can See Everythingcame naturally, according to its co-director.

Directors Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim joined Holmes and Evans at their home with a seven-person crew that would shoot up to 16 hours a day, leading up to when Holmes began her prison sentence in May 2023.

On one of these days, Oppenheim went to the gym with Evans and asked what else Evans planned to do that afternoon, the co-director recalled to Vulture in an interview published on Monday, Oct. 19.

Evans said he would shower, and before Oppenheim could respond, “he stripped and hopped in.”

This scene earned the film an R rating due to its graphic nudity.

“It seems like he really had something he wanted to show to us and to the world,” said Oppenheim.

Elsewhere in the film, Evans revealed he is running Holmes’ account on X on camera, adding that he has her login information.

Holmes and Evans met in 2017 and got engaged the following year. They welcomed their first child, son William, in July 2021, right before her criminal trial began.

Holmes, who founded the notorious tech start-up Theranos, was found guilty of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud in January 2022. In November 2022, she was sentenced to more than 11 years in prison.

PEOPLE reported in February 2023 that Holmes had given birth to her second child. Holmes reported to Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Bryan, Texas, in May 2023.

Her sentence was previously reduced by two years for good behavior, and her release date has been rescheduled to February 22, 2030, per Bureau of Prisons records. She will soon move to a halfway house, the Austin Transitional Center in Del Valle, Texas, in August 2027.
