Welcome back, Below Deck fans! Last week, we met the Season 13 crew. The bosun is fresh off a long break, and the chef is all around fresh, knowing his way around a kitchen and a deep breath in equal measure. In the interior, Fraser promoted Rainbeau to second stew. So far, Rosa hates her management style. Her frustrations with Rainbeau continue this week on Below Deck Season 13 Episode 2.
What happened in Below Deck Season 13 Episode 2?
Cracks are forming across the yacht. Alex is rusty, and it shows. Meanwhile, Rosa is beyond frustrated with Rainbeau. But Moe is having himself a grand old time stirring more than just the pots in his galley. He’s now moonlighting as a matchmaker for multiple willing yachties.

Fraser compliments Rosa. Shortly after, Captain Kerry shuttles him and a few others to one of the most stunning coves ever. It is so gorgeous, Fraser jokes, “Am I in Jurassic Park?”
But what who catches Matt’s eye? “I’m trying to find out everything,” Moe says, pressing Matt to spill his tea. Matt names Kaylee, except he calls her Katie. The dating pool on this yacht is too young for Moe, so off he goes to find Kaylee, because “If I can’t swim, I’m gonna make sure everybody [else is] swimming.”
Target acquired.
Moe sassily tells Kaylee everything, and she immediately giggles. “Let me know,” this cheeky man says. Kaylee heads downstairs and runs into Matt. Her nerves get the best of her, and she drops her drink tray.
She tells Moe, and he laughs. The guests are laughing too in the beautiful cove. But back on deck, Alex is still figuring out his life as a bosun, so his plans are all a work in progress. And Rainbeau’s plans for Rosa once they return to the yacht are… a lot, with zero pleases or praises attached.
“Such a little b*tch,” Rosa sighs, sinking to the floor in another room. Fraser notices and pulls her aside. Through tears, Rosa calls Rainbeau “patronizing.” Fraser knows exactly what she means, since Rainbeau struggled with her words last season, too.
He’ll deal with it, just like Matt is still trying to deal with Alex’s laid-back leadership. Rosa returns to work and bonds with Kaylee. Back on deck, bless his heart, Matt is still calling Kaylee Katie.
And the guests are calling for the interior. They requested chips 63 minutes ago.

Captain Kerry joins the always-matching guests for dinner, and they give him a shirt so he can match, too. Rainbeau gives Rosa a list of tasks, but Rosa needs to put on her gloves first. “Copy,” Rainbeau says, frustrated. Thankfully, dinner goes off perfectly.
Fraser reminds Rainbeau to “be a little calmer with our words, and with our requests.” Rainbeau says, “Okay.” But in her talking head, she says Rosa, “with her sensitive English girl feelings,” needs to come to her next time, not Fraser.
Moving on. It’s time for a talent(less) show! Jessenia and Alex do a few acrobat-adjacent moves, Rainbeau yodels, and Matthew threads a condom from his nose to his mouth.

Gross? Yes. But Matthew still wins, because the bar is lower than hell.
After the guests go to bed, Rainbeau approaches Rosa. Rosa owns her feelings. Rainbeau apologizes, blames her PTSD from last season, and they hug things out (for now). Rosa would also like to hug James, just… differently.
The next morning, the guests want to hug some vegetables. They requested freshly pressed juice 37 minutes ago.
The tides dictate the docking, so Captain Kerry expects excellent communication. But Alex is helping Jessenia in the anchor locker, away from his radio. Captain Kerry heads outside and sorts out every “rookie mistake” in sight. Alex is now on his radar.
Rosa, a former deckie, and Kaylee help with docking. When the primary says goodbye, she adds, “It’s clear you’ve never worked together before.” She has “no notes” for Moe, though. They leave a decent $25K tip.
Captain Kerry is taking everyone to a Buddhist temple. But first, he calls Alex to the wheelhouse. He asks Alex to do better and to “harness Matt’s energy” before a power struggle emerges.

Moe dances up to Rosa and asks if she might get a kiss later that night. A talented chef who lives for other people’s drama? Yes, please. Living up to my standards, Moe encourages Rosa to take the lead with James.
At the temple, the crew bonds over the million steps they have to climb before praying/making their wishes. Afterward, Captain Kerry heads back to the yacht. At dinner, Rainbeau and James laugh and chat as Rosa watches, wondering what happened to Rainbeau’s boyfriend. In her talking head, Rainbeau explains that she can look, but not touch.
Matt can touch, though. He and Kaylee laugh about Moe, aka “Mr. Cupid.” Across the table, Moe strikes again. He encourages Alex to go after Jessenia.
Later, Matt and Kaylee kiss. Kaylee drunkenly says, “I love you.” She quickly corrects herself. Across the bar, Fraser chats up James.
James has great chemistry with Fraser and solid rapport with Rainbeau. But in their tuk-tuk, he and Rosa barely speak. Alex and Jessenia make out in theirs, though, but anything else is up to Jessenia, Alex decides, since, as her boss, he doesn’t want to make things weird.
Back on the yacht, Matt and Kaylee share a room. Kaylee wants to be exclusive, but Matt laughs off her tipsy words. Good luck, Matt!
